I've read in magazines that frequency of shaving does not effect hair growth but it seems like the more some one shaves the more they need to shave. What do you think?

I don't think the more you shave the more you need to shave. I do believe that once you shave an area the hair comes in thicker and more!

Look at it this way... If frequent shaving caused hair to grow, then all the balding men in the world would be shaving their hair. Rogaine would be completely obsolete!
Edit: You'll find with most blading men that there are still at least a few hair follicles left.
