What do you call this hairstyle?

Hi, everytime I go to a salon to get the short hair that I want, I feel somewhat disappointed.

So, what should I tell them when I want to get this hair? It's Mandy Moore's short hair, remember it?

http://www.mandymoore.org/images/magazin...

http://images.43things.com/entry/100323p...

What do you call this hairstyle?

I think that's called a page boy cut. or just a shaggy bob.

What do you call this hairstyle?

Just bring the picture with you.

What do you call this hairstyle?

a layered bob i think but bring in the picture

What do you call this hairstyle?

That a picture with you. Go through magazines until you find a picture of the haircut you want and bring it with you... or just print out that picture. Believe me, hair stylists can do so much better with a picture!

What do you call this hairstyle?

that kind of reminds me of a fairy bob thing...

hmm

I'd bring a big fat picture to make sure the stylists knew what I wanted.

What do you call this hairstyle?

Take those pictures with you to the salon and tell them thats what you want it to look like. People do it all the time and that way they know exactly what you mean

What do you call this hairstyle?

Layered bob, I agree. But seriously bring the picture with you it turns out better than just telling them. I drew my last haircut and it came out exactly how I wanted it to.

What do you call this hairstyle?

Take those pics into the salon with you, and tell them that's what you want! =) good luck

What do you call this hairstyle?

Print the picture clear bring it with you and explain that is how you want your hair to look. They will do there best to help you.

What do you call this hairstyle?

It looks almost like a pixie cut. It's cute though. Just print out the picture and show it to your hairdresser. They'll cut in just like in the picture!

What do you call this hairstyle?

i think its called...ur gonna look like a boy if you get it this short.

What do you call this hairstyle?

its call the bob

What is the name of this hairstyle???

I'm looking for the name of a hairstyle for women (especially those with curly hair) that is short like a bob, but more layered...longer in the back than in the front and on the sides. It's the cut that Keri Russell had when her short hair started growing back. See pic:

http://www.curly-hair-styles-magazine.co...

It's kind of a modern-looking mullet or a layered bob, but there has to be some name for it.

Thanks!

What is the name of this hairstyle???

I believe it says so on the website where you found the picture.

"Hair Style:

drawn-back"

go with that. :)

What is the name of this hairstyle???

What is the name of this hairstyle???

What is the name of this hairstyle???

What do you think of Britney Spears' new lifestyle?

I saw a magazine cover saying she was now under lock down at her house. No alchol, friends, has to be in bed by 11 AND her dad dresses her and brushes her hair.

What is your opinion on this? I am happy her parents came to their senses and started to give her some rules.

ALSO: If anyone could find me anymore info about her being on "home lock down", I'd apperciate it. I lead a young girls' group and I wanted to discuss this with them!

What do you think of Britney Spears' new lifestyle?

Frankly, I think it is extreme!Britney is a very intelligent young lady who has had her experiences with trouble. But what young person does not? I think she simply needs some to talk to her during her difficult times. She has a lot to offer but everyone is after her money and that is why it is a problem. She simply needs someone to care about her for her! You do not keep someone because they bring in the dough. You care about geting them better. I would never, never, never think about dressing my grown daughter! I would advise her and simply talk to her to provide her a strong foundation.

Britney gets a bad rap because everyone expects it from her but no one wants to simply find out what's going on.

I say, it is about time she has some genuine concern displayed for HER!

What do you think of Britney Spears' new lifestyle?

I wish her good luck and health, but I do not trust those around her

What do you think of Britney Spears' new lifestyle?

Who really cares?

I think that you should worry about your own life and real problems going on around you

What do you think of Britney Spears' new lifestyle?

The Crackwhore look is so her.

Ok u guys how long does?

a perm last if i want my hair 2 look like this

http://www.curly-hair-styles-magazine.co...

oh yeah and about how much does it cost

my hair is not that long it' about shoulder lenght

Ok u guys how long does?

it depends on the perm.

there are 3 day perms for those who just want to expirement with curls. and then there's the actual perm. 3 day perms you can buy at a store, whereas for a ful perm a professional should be seen

Ok u guys how long does?

A Voodoo Doll Tattoo?

I saw this tat in the Tattoo magazine about 3 years ago during mar-aug and it had this cute but dark voodoo doll. it didn't have any pins sticking out of it it just had a flip hair do, and a cute dress and her legs looked like popsicle sticks and she had x's for eyes. I was wondering if anyone had seen it or could possible email it to me.

Another question, would that be a bad idea for me to get a voodoo doll on me when i really don't know anything about voodoo? I don't want to hex myself.

A Voodoo Doll Tattoo?

I actually quite like the idea - but then again I have a fairly dark personality. We did a whole voodoo bathroom for Halloween with music, shrunken heads, pentagrams, spell books, ingredients and voodoo dolls I made. No one would use that bathroom. Bunch of chickens. Anyway, if you want it because it's cute but then have the worry that because you don't know anything about voodoo - you might want to consider another choice :) You don't want to put that on your body and then instantly be worrying about it. I personally don't believe in hexes or rubish like that. But if you have the slightest doubt, pick something else, something that really would mean more to you. Just my two cents :)

A Voodoo Doll Tattoo?

go for it..get the voodoo tattoo...hell...y don't u get a demon..lol...i'm sure there's no curse or something in it

A Voodoo Doll Tattoo?

get it, aint no curse

A Voodoo Doll Tattoo?

It might be cool now, but do you really want a tattoo of a voodoo doll when your 70?

A Voodoo Doll Tattoo?

i think voodoo doll tattoos are fairly common and don't know of any "hexes" being put on people with them. my artist has one in his portfolio.

http://www.jamesclementstattoos.com/a1.h...

good luck in finding the one you want but you may be better off just going to a custom tattoo artist and having them create a tattoo for you.

A Voodoo Doll Tattoo?

Yeah it's a bad idea.

Ten years from now...

"Mommy, what's that?"

"oh, that's a voodoo doll, honey."

Think about it. You should only get tattoos that MEAN something to you. They are there for life. If you don't know anything about voodoo, then you shouldn't get it. It means nothing to you.

I have ten tattoos, and they all mean something to me.

The Marine Corps

My wife

My daughter

Psalm 91

I'll never regret any of them, because they are all people and things that are the most important to me. What is there to regret?

A Voodoo Doll Tattoo?

if you like it you should go head an get it .

A Voodoo Doll Tattoo?

I have 3 doll tattoos. Now, I want a voodoo doll tattoo. yum. thanks.

check out my picture albums on my 360 page, maybe it will give you some ideas.

"the United winger has made a rather rash promise: if he fails to top 20 again in 2007/08, he will shave off his hair, otherwise his manager will undergo said forfeit."

but i dont think he'll have a problem with that

http://www.uefa.com/magazine/news/kind=1...

RONALDO might SHAVE his head!?

hahah. I don't think he'll score 20 goals especially with the way he's been striking his free-kicks. That takes guts for a pretty boy like he is to shave his head.

RONALDO might SHAVE his head!?

yeh apparently that bets for real. i really hope he doesnt have to shave his head, he is so hott. he'll definately score those 20 goals if it means having to shave of his head if he doesnt. he was a bit late for the presenting of the prem. trophy just cus he was doing his hair :P

Is this the most underreported story of the year?

I saw a similar question by Leslie Stahl but it had 1,300 PLUS responses so someone might have already said it. I think the most underreported story is that People Magazine once again failed to correctly point out I am the sexiest man in America. Even though I am 50 and my teeth are falling apart, my hair is falling out, and my stomach falls over my belt more than ever if I don't pull my pants up, I am still a studmuffin still looking for my very own warm muffinpan to rest comfortably in.

Is this the most underreported story of the year?

Go to www.campmor.com They sell shirts designed to hide plumbers crack.

Is this the most underreported story of the year?

No, George Clooney, youre still in. Dont worry.

Is this the most underreported story of the year?

You aren't in very good condition for being only 50. Maybe your New Years resolution should be to start taking vitamins, good luck sexiest man!

Is this the most underreported story of the year?

You, nor anyone else, will be the sexiest man in America until I emigrate to Russia.

Is this the most underreported story of the year?

Nope, my hubby is the sexiest man in the entire world so THAT is the most underreported story of the CENTURY!!

(((((hugs))))) Your still a doll though.

Is this the most underreported story of the year?

Can we see a picture of you (as your avatar is so bland) so we can see the truth behind you words, please?

Questionary????

I did this questionary only for curiosity, so please answer the questions (if you dont want answer, please answer at least one)!!!

Hey. weird question, but i need answers! please help! ten points to the first person with a correct

hey. ok, this is weird, but cheyea, i need an answer.

ok, so i saw an ad in seventeen magazine about a website that, when you upload pictures of yourself, you can change your hairstyle, and other stuff.

so, lets say that you have brown hair, but you want to have platinum blonde[for some reason], but you're afriad that if you get it done, it wont look good.

you upload a picture of you on the site, and you can, by adjusting and editing the pic, see exactly what you would look like as a platinum blonde.

and it also works with like, bone structures, or if you were going to get like, a nose job.

if anyone knows a site like this, PLEASE tell me.

kthanks. =] %26lt;33

Hey. weird question, but i need answers! please help! ten points to the first person with a correct answer! =]

Free versions usually aren't worth anything. Here is a sample of decent software that let's you try hundreds of styles and colors, and new styles are added often. The good ones are expensive.

Believe me, it's the exact same one listed in the Seventeen magazine.

Is this really what the French think?

I was reading a magazine and there was a French man in it talking about Dolly Parton being the typical American woman, lol. In case you don't know Dolly Parton she is a country singer.....allot of plastic surgery and fake blond hair.....don't get me wrong, I love Dolly but there isn't nothing typical about her.

I thought everybody thought we were all fat....lol

Is this really what the French think?

I have family in France...here's what they think of the US...

Half the population in the US is fat. (Which if you look around, it's true.) They also see the US population as being ignorant (in general) to world affairs. It's scary how many people in the US can't locate other countries on maps.... They also think that every beach in the US looks like the ones on Baywatch!

As to the Dolly Parton report...that's news to me.

You know, I'm getting tired of hearing people bash the French all the time. I wonder if these people know their history...Go back to 1776 and read your history...the French played a MAJOR role in our little fight for independence!

And as to the people "smelling" and the women not shaving their arm pits...I've been with a French woman or two and I know several...guys would DIE to date them!!!! And yes, their pits were shaved!

Is this really what the French think?

really...so americans are not like Dolly....damn the telly...i was misguided

Is this really what the French think?

Why would you extrapolate from one Frenchman to all Frenchmen??? If I thought you were ugly would all Americans think you were ugly? Besides, Dolly has a lot of attributes that have nothing to do with singing and fake things. Try a successful entrepreneur and a successful business woman and an actress. In other words, perhaps he meant she is not a say nothing wife as is common in some other countries. Besides, the magazine was trying to sell ads by getting readers attention. Their intent was not to accurately inform the public. Don't be fooled by such things. The explanation is actually very simple.

Is this really what the French think?

This French guy said that? lol

I know Dolly but really, this is nonsense.

Is this really what the French think?

Hmmm... If I may answer... I am french, so i ll talk on behalf of the lovely french people. First of all, I really like Lancer comment, I think he said more a less everything.

I am not sure who told you that with Dolly, but she is not that famous in France, so I have some doubt that we compare american to the singer countrygirl :-)

I think that whatever the person is in France, US or wherever, if they dont travel, they always have some images which are not really what is reality. If people have or traveled a bit they know that it is stupid to make generalities, and most of the time it is crap. I think in the US it is true that as the country is very large, (You call it World), you are not that interested by what is outside it. Also you are not really given any possibilities (Except with internet) to learn about outside the US. I go there every year, because i love the country and i live shopping there, and I am very surprised that people knows so little about their country and about what is happening in this world (The Earth not the US) :-)

Expect of that, it is a fact that people in the US are overweight, but this is becoming true in europe as well. but most of the americans are fine people, so France and US are i think good friends, The US dont accept (And it is due to Charles De Gaulle) that France is very cautious of keeping it freedom towards the US and from any other countries. and I think the US does not accept this situation, they prefer to deal with the UK which always follow what the US say... I think the key is there.

And... to conclude, in France we have very good looking people, as well as there are lots of very good looking people in the US. I dated a lovely american girl at the time :-)

Is this really what the French think?

Hi from France !

I don't think that American women are like Dolly Parton !! ... !o! ...

I know your country ( California), I have some family so, and I saw now and then fat persons, it's true... So what ? I love America !!

By the way, I love Dolly Parton ( fake blond hair or no) and Country music too !!

Have a nice day,

Cat.

Is this really what the French think?

My husband is French and married my because I look like Dolly Parton.

Is this really what the French think?

All the french ever think about is retreat and surrender. Maybe they think she is a typical american woman insofar as she actually bathes and shaves her armpits.

Is this really what the French think?

if there France i don't care

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

鈥淎nd it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.

鈥淎nd it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king鈥檚 house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.

鈥淎nd David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bath-sheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite? [They tried to stop him here.]

鈥淎nd David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him.鈥?br>

鈥淎nd David sent to Joab, saying, Send me Uriah the Hittite. And Joab sent Uriah to David.

鈥淎nd when Uriah was come unto him, David demanded of him how Joab did, and how the people did, and how the war prospered.

鈥淎nd David said to Uriah, Go down to thy house, and wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the king鈥檚 house, and there followed him a mess of meat from the king.

鈥淏ut Uriah slept at the door of the king鈥檚 house with all the servants of his lord [he had some witnesses here], and went not down to his house.

鈥淎nd when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Camest thou not from thy journey? why then didst thou not go down unto thine house?

鈥滱nd Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.

鈥淎nd David said to Uriah, Tarry here to day also, and to morrow I will let thee depart. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow.

鈥淎nd when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.鈥濃€擨I Sam. 11:1鈥?,6鈥?3.

This is the sad, sad story of the sin of King David. To make a long story short, David told Joab to put Uriah in the heat of the battle with all the valiant men, then withdraw from him. The shooters shot off the wall, and Uriah the Hittite was killed; in actuality, he was murdered by a government cover-up.

鈥淎nd when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.鈥濃€擵s. 27.

David told Uriah to go home for the night, but Uriah said,

鈥淭he ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.鈥?br>

I want to talk about the reasons we have for returning to the front lines.

God gives us a helmet of salvation, a breastplate of righteousness, a shield of faith and a sword because we are in a war. I encourage you to return to the front line if you have left. I encourage more to get on the front line if you have never been there.

King David, a fine Bible character, is ordinarily cast in a good light. In this passage, David had sinned by committing immorality with a woman named Bathsheba. Because she was a married woman, he attempted to cover up his sin by plotting the murder of her husband.

David, however, did not take into consideration the strong, godly character of this young officer.

He showed up in the list of thirty-plus men who were David鈥檚 mighty men. Though David was guilty of murder, he still had the heart to list Uriah there because Uriah was a hardened soldier, a mighty man of valor.

Being a Hittite, he had obviously turned his back on the false gods of his father to serve the one and only true God, Jehovah God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Uriah married a beautiful young Jewish girl named Bathsheba. He joined the army and moved up quickly through the ranks to the place of prosperity and promise. His house was in the same development with the king鈥檚.

You have read the story. His conversion experience was such a life-changing decision that he became a red-hot patriot, anxious to fight the battles of his king and for his country.

To Uriah鈥檚 surprise, David, for ulterior motives, offered this valiant soldier what most every soldier dreams of in the heat of the battle鈥攁 leave from the front line with full benefits and pay.

David said, 鈥淕ood to see you, old buddy! How鈥檚 it going out there? Just want to give you a little break. Come home to your family for a while. Thought you might like to spend some time with your dear wife.鈥?br>

It all sounded so innocent to Uriah. David said, 鈥淚鈥檝e arranged to have a big meal catered to your house. Don鈥檛 worry about the war, son; just enjoy yourself.鈥?br>

I like what Uriah said: 鈥淎s thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.鈥?br>

Thank God for the tenacity of a man who saw something bigger than even the king saw. Uriah realized that a battle was raging. He wanted to return to the front line. He desired to be where the battle was hot.

Ladies and gentlemen, a battle is still raging in our world. Satan is as alive as he has ever been. He is fighting as hard as he has ever fought. In fact, he has turned up the heat, realizing he has but a short time.

As fundamental, Bible-believing Christians, we are in the fight of our lives. Casualties are mounting as we fail to reproduce ourselves even in our own children. Folks are quitting on God right in the middle of the battle. Some are tired, some are apathetic, some have wrong priorities, and some are even switching sides! We鈥檙e in a mess!

Fundamental Christians now, more than ever before, are needed on the front line, needed in the fight. We need more Sunday school teachers! more bus workers! more nursery workers! more soul winners! more preachers! more evangelists!

We need more men like the old-time, leather-lunged evangelists who came in, stirred up your church, then went to another church to do the same thing. They would shake you, stir you, get you to thinking about proper priorities.

We need more church planters. We don鈥檛 think about mission fields like Miami, New York City, New Orleans, Denver and Seattle. The preachers on the West Coast are begging for folks to come and plant churches in the country that is 鈥渙ne Nation under God.鈥?br>

It is not time to retreat! It is time to return to the front line!

We need more Christian school teachers, more choir members and more tithers. God knows we need godly moms and dads who are willing to teach children the old-time religion instead of what is popular. We need parents who will teach little girls to be little girls, and little boys to be little boys.

We need preachers who will rise up and oppose the worldliness that is creeping into the churches. And we need deacons who will back up the preacher!

You say, 鈥淧reacher, I get tired of being the bad guy all the time. I get tired of being a square peg in a round hole down at work. I get tired of being called the 鈥榬eligious right.鈥?I have too much at stake to be outspoken.鈥?

You have too much at stake not to be outspoken! You have too much at stake not to return to the front line.

I am right now extending to you a call to return to the front line.

You say, 鈥淲hy should I risk my popularity? I鈥檓 saved. I鈥檓 on my way to Heaven. Give me one good reason why I should give up my free time to serve God. Give me a good reason why I should demand that my family be at church every time the doors are open.鈥?br>

I鈥檒l do better than that; I鈥檒l give you five.

I. Our Faith Is Under Attack

When you realize that your faith is being attacked, you will return to the front line.

Uriah said, 鈥楾he ark is out there.鈥?May I remind you that the ark was not just a symbol of God but a place of God鈥檚 abode at that time. God put His mark on that ark, and they took it to war. Uriah said, 鈥楢s long as the ark of God is out there, I will not sit back, eat, drink and be merry. God is out there; we鈥檙e in a battle; so I鈥檓 not about to retreat!鈥?br>

Our faith is being attacked in our country. Because of that, I can鈥檛 stay home. The government is after our church. Hollywood is after our kids. Sodomites are after the pure lifestyles of our country. The media is trying to make us look like idiots. Humanists are trying to steal the very heart and soul of America. Evolutionists are after the Creator who created the heavens, the earth and man.

Jesse Ventura, Minnesota鈥檚 former governor, shouldn鈥檛 have said it, but he did: 鈥淥rganized religion is a sham and a crutch for weak-minded people who need strength in numbers.鈥?br>

He further stated, 鈥淚 choose to live by the Golden Rule: Treat others as you want them to treat you.鈥?(Wonder where he got that?)

Then he said, 鈥淭he religious right wants to tell people how to live.鈥?br>

Ladies and gentlemen, he was talking about you and me!

Since the world and the Devil are attacking our faith, it is not time for us to sit around with our mouths closed. We have the truth, and it is time to take a stand once again! It is time we return to the front line!

Our Bible, our morals and our freedom of worship are being attacked. The truth is, if it gets to where in America they can come into our homes and get our guns, they鈥檒l come someday and get our Bibles! We would not be the first nation that has fallen.

Colt is going out of the gun business. But it is not the guns that are killing people. America has lost her heart and soul, and it is the sinner behind the gun who is killing people.

The same thing that closed the doors and churches in other countries will close them in this country if people don鈥檛 return to the front line. We have liberty in America because men have bled and died on the battlefield.

We also have our spiritual liberty because godly teachers, preachers, deacons and Christian workers who lived before this generation carried the torch high. They have lived and died, sweat and bled, to give us what we have today.

I鈥檓 not going to drop my sails just because I鈥檓 of the generation that has taken the ball right now. Some others of my generation feel the same way, and I praise God for every one of them. May their tribe increase!

鈥淧reacher, give me one good reason why I should return to the front line.鈥?Because the thing that you hold near and dear as a Christian鈥攜our very faith鈥攊s being attacked every day!

II. Our Nation Is Under Attack

Uriah said, 鈥楾he ark and Israel are out there.鈥?What was he talking about? His nation was being attacked.

We鈥檙e at war in America! Some of that war is being waged inside our border.

Twenty years ago it was illegal to burn a flag. Twenty-five years ago a communist was a communist; now they have access to the Pentagon! Twenty-five years ago the sodomites were not in office, or if they were, you didn鈥檛 know about it. Thirty-five years ago people valued human life, and abortion was illegal. Now we kill babies and sell their tissue for profit and research! God help us! Don鈥檛 tell me we鈥檙e not in a holy war!

Twenty-five years ago the youth of America had values; now drive-by shootings and other crimes rule our streets. I read an article about a judge in the juvenile court, just retired, who said, 鈥淭hirty years ago, our detention center occupants were truce breakers; now they are murderers.鈥?br>

I heard this just last night: 鈥淓very twenty-three seconds a car is stolen in America.鈥?br>

One of our missionaries with Rock of Ages Prison Ministry called me this morning. (He visits in the prisons in the state of Tennessee all the time.) He said, 鈥淩ight now there are over two million in prisons and jails in America.鈥?And the news media just told us the other day that crimes were 鈥渄own.鈥?br>

He also said that in the West Memphis, Tennessee prison, a prison for the gang members of Memphis, the average age of the 2,500 inmates is eighteen. He stated, 鈥淩ight now, there are no fewer than eight young boys who are either fourteen or fifteen years old and who are in there for murder.鈥?br>

鈥淢y country, 鈥檛is of thee, sweet land of liberty.鈥?That鈥檚 our country I鈥檓 talking about. Don鈥檛 tell me we鈥檙e not in a battle!

When you can teach the Bible in a Russian school but cannot even pray in an American school, when the bullets are flying at your head, there is something badly wrong!

Somebody had better be returning to the front line before this whole thing called America sinks!

III. Our Family Is Under Attack

Uriah said, 鈥楾he ark is out there. My nation Israel is out there. Judah is out there.鈥?Uriah was a Hittite, but he married a Jewish girl, Bathsheba. Look on down through the passage, and you will see that he married into the family of Judah. When he said, 鈥楯udah is out there,鈥?he was saying, 鈥淚鈥檝e brothers-in-law, uncles and relatives out there. David, you have just called me back from fighting alongside my family. I will not do this thing!鈥?His family was under attack.

You may not think it is your job to defend and fight for the Bible nor to fight for your church by serving God in some ministry nor to fight for your country鈥檚 sake. It is your fight, though I may not be able to convince you that it is.

I cannot understand why God鈥檚 people will leave the front line of serving God and fighting the good fight just to sit around, when the spiritual welfare of their little boys and little girls is on the line!

I love my wife; I love our teenage son. I wonder what kind of America Joel is going to grow up in. We have the freedoms we have right now because men fought, bled and died. We鈥檙e able to worship here and say what we鈥檙e saying because men held the line! Yet folks are drifting off, going off into wild things.

New Evangelicalism says, 鈥淗ere鈥檚 your doctrine, but forget your separation.鈥?br>

Charismatic televangelists are filling up auditoriums all over America.

There are those who say, 鈥淲ell, whatever will be, will be.鈥?br>

I have always been taught that blood runs thicker than water. I was trained to fight for my family. I鈥檓 going to do my part to make a way for my family to serve and worship God until Jesus comes. Would to God that others would help me!

As the world sees the front line of the church weaken, your family will suffer persecution. I don鈥檛 think the way you educate your children is really a question anymore!

I鈥檓 going to be really candid with you. If you listen to some conservatives right now鈥擨 don鈥檛 think all of them are born-again believers鈥攜ou will say, 鈥淭hey鈥檙e right! They鈥檙e right!鈥?But when the preacher gets up to preach, do you back him up like you should?

We listen to some charismatic and say, 鈥淢an, that guy can preach! Man, he is tearing it up!鈥?He says enough right things to make you enjoy it, but it only takes one percent of arsenic to kill you! When your preacher tells you right things, do you say, 鈥淎men!鈥?and back him up by your lifestyle?

Some of these folks are saying that the educational system is corrupt. Let me add right here: I thank God for every Christian teacher in the public school system. May their tribe also increase.

We had a family in our church in West Virginia who homeschooled their four kids. Because their test scores were not where the state department of education thought they should be, they threatened to take the kids out of the home. The family thought they were joking around.

I shall never forget the look on their faces when they knocked on my door one night. There stood this mama and daddy on my front porch crying, 鈥淧reacher, they came and got our kids!鈥?br>

We dealt with the state and got them back.

I鈥檓 saying we are in a war! This is serious business. As the world sees the front line of the church weaken, your family will suffer persecution.

I want my son to be able to have freedom. I don鈥檛 want him to have to visit his daddy in jail.

IV. Our Leaders Are Under Attack

You say, 鈥淕ive me one good reason why I should take a stand.鈥?br>

鈥淕ive me one good reason why I should cut my hair.鈥?br>

鈥淕ive me one good reason why I shouldn鈥檛 put on a miniskirt.鈥?br>

鈥淕ive me one good reason why I shouldn鈥檛 smoke or drink beer.鈥?br>

鈥淕ive me one good reason why I shouldn鈥檛 play the lottery.鈥?br>

鈥淕ive me one good reason why I should teach my kids to hold the line.鈥?br>

鈥淕ive me one good reason why I should make my kids come to church and why they should be involved in some Christian club at the church.鈥?br>

The ark is out there! Israel is out there! Judah is out there! Joab is out there! Joab was the leader.

I say to you, the pastor of your church is out there. Does anybody care?

If I were a member of your church, one of the many reasons why I would toe the line, stay on the front line and be faithful to soul winning and bus visitation is that I would have so much love and respect for my preacher that I wouldn鈥檛 do anything to be disloyal to him.

We need a church full of people like that. Fundamental, God-fearing, Bible-believing pastors are not found everywhere.

鈥楯oab is out there!鈥?Whoever your preacher is, if he is a man of God, you ought to love him.

V. Our Fellow Christians Are Under Attack

Then Uriah said, 鈥楾he servants of God are out there,鈥?the people in the church. I love God鈥檚 people and enjoy being around them. I have the time of my life fellowshiping with the people at God鈥檚 house.

Uriah said they were 鈥渆ncamped in the open fields.鈥?The enemy in this case had a walled city, but God鈥檚 people were in an open field.

In our generation, evil is protected, and we have to fight for righteousness. Isaiah said:

鈥漌oe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!鈥濃€擨sa. 5:20.

Picture yourself standing in the open field of slaughter compared to Satan鈥檚 enormous army. The truth is, we have always been a minority. There was a time in the 鈥?0s when we thought we were the 鈥渕oral majority,鈥?but if we are now, you surely can鈥檛 tell it. Maybe we鈥檙e the 鈥渟ilent majority.鈥?br>

We stand in an open field as immorality on television shoots like a machine gun. Christians say, 鈥淚t鈥檚 harmless.鈥?Yet it mows them down in the open field, deceiving them and stripping away their values.

Our young people stand in an open field of drugs and alcohol, the number-one killer among teenagers today. Satan deceives them into thinking it is harmless. 鈥淵ou won鈥檛 get hooked,鈥?he says. Yet we laugh at the beer commercials on television and think they鈥檙e funny.

They鈥檙e not funny! We鈥檙e standing in an open field.

Our young ladies stand unprotected in the open field of promiscuity. They are mowed down with the lie, 鈥淓veryone is doing it.鈥?Everyone is not doing it!

I sat in a restaurant two nights ago with my wife and son. The couple sitting next to us had a ten-year-old son. I listened to their conversation.

The boy had been to a dance the night before at his elementary school. Daddy and Mama were laughing because he got his first kiss!

Awhile back Newsweek magazine ran an article called 鈥淭weens.鈥?It talked about the way our young girls鈥攖en, eleven, twelve years old鈥攆eel they have to dress in order to attract young boys. When I was ten years old, I was still running from girls! You say, 鈥淭hat鈥檚 old-fashioned.鈥?Amen! We鈥檙e standing in an open field, and you know it鈥檚 true!

Our elementary children innocently stand in an open field of humanism and anti-God, anti-Bible teaching. It comes at them so fast, they don鈥檛 even know what hit them.

The day of temptation comes from those higher up or from family. 鈥淥h, go on back home! You all down at that church take things too seriously! Lighten up a little! God wants you to be happy. Loosen up!鈥?br>

The day of temptation comes. 鈥淧reacher, do you have to put it quite like that? Can鈥檛 you be just a little more positive and a little less negative?鈥?Yes! I am positive that I can be more negative!

Jesus said, 鈥淵e generation of vipers鈥? That was not a very positive appellation.

When the temptation comes, the pressure comes. 鈥淪tay at home,鈥?when it鈥檚 time for church. 鈥淓at, drink, be merry.鈥?鈥淎 football game is on tonight!鈥?鈥淗ey, are you going to the races? Let鈥檚 spend $500 this weekend and forget about our tithe.鈥?br>

The pressure comes. 鈥淥h, we don鈥檛 need to be out there soul winning. Nobody is doing that now.鈥?Yes, some still are.

The pressure comes. 鈥淥h, you fundamentalists! Don鈥檛 you know everybody now is going evangelical?鈥?No, not everybody! A Christian still ought to live like a Christian. A Christian still ought to dress like a Christian.

When the pressure comes, we need somebody to stand up and say, 鈥淭he ark of God is out there! My country is out there! My family is out there! My pastor is out there! My friends are out there! As I live, I will not do this thing!鈥?br>

It seems kind of crazy to want to return to the front line, but I鈥檓 having the time of my life on the front line. I love what I do. I love being a Christian.

You say, 鈥淲ell, let someone else do it.鈥?No! You do it!

If you are on the front line serving God, stay there! If you have left the front line for one reason or another, I beg you, come back.

There are teenagers sitting in here who need to enlist for duty. Some young men need to say, 鈥淚鈥檒l be a preacher. I鈥檒l go to Miami. I鈥檒l learn Spanish if I have to. I鈥檒l go to California. I鈥檒l go to the Northeast. I鈥檒l go!鈥?br>

Some of you young people need to walk down this aisle and say, 鈥淚鈥檒l keep myself pure.鈥?br>

Some of you young ladies need to say, 鈥淚 want to marry a preacher.鈥?br>

Some dads need to say, 鈥淚鈥檒l jerk the knot on the end of the rope and stop the slide that my kids are on right now.鈥?My dad was saying it long before I ever heard anybody else say it: 鈥淚鈥檒l nip it in the bud!鈥?br>

It is time to return to the front line. You know what I鈥檓 talking about. I鈥檓 going to sing my own invitation song:

I am on the battlefield for my Lord;

I am on the battlefield for my Lord.

And I promised Him that I would serve Him 鈥檛il I die.

I鈥檓 on the battlefield for my Lord.

I trust a host of you will decide now to return to the front line.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

*Taps foot, rolls eyes, looks out window, sees the water, scrolls down screen." Trask, you're really making it hard for me to answer your questions. Can you just stick to the basics? Thanks and keep on letting your humor guide you. I don't think christians have ever left the front lines.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

Forcing your religion upon others is the worst kind of Vanity in the world. You have been judged, Trask, and you have been found wanting.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

The only thing you're doing is turning people off of idea of religion. You're coming across as a fanatical retard and you're doing more harm than good. Think about it. This is not the place to advertise religion. I'm so glad I'm Lutheran. This is why I don't step foot in a Babtist church. Scary

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

you say an awful lot without saying anything. you need to quit preaching and ask real questions. mainly of yourself.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

Christians should only be fighting for their salvation. They should be fighting their sinful tendencies and destructive passions.

They should be fighting against oppressors and for kids, those underprivileged and hurting.

I worry about you, Trask. Be well, dude.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

first of all, that was a diatribe if I ever saw one.

Maybe you should examine how the early church dealt with the secular world as well.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

do you really think that people are going to read all of that?! No, any ways your a fraud. You preach hate in stead of love. It's people like you who are the total morons of the world. How can some one like you get into heaven if there is one?!

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

Yes, it's absolutely necessary for Christians to be on the front line. But I spent my career in the military fighting battles against mortal enemies, and I know that you don't fight your battles and expect to win if you just give them the weapons to use against you. This is certainly the wrong forum to fight this battle. You need a change in your tactics, and develop the appropriate strategy. There are plenty of those in need here in these forums, that you can wage your war, but do it just one battle at a time.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

It's funny, Christians talk about battle and armour, etc when it comes to what they want other people to do. But when you compare these people to Muslims and ask them to look at the violence in the Old Testament, they are like,"Oh no! That was the OLD Testament, I prescribe to the NEW Testament." Oh give me a break! I can't name how many times I had to sing,"The Battle Belongs to the Lord". All this fighting!

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

I don't think you are really a Christian at all, but rather a semi-clever Foe. First of all, there is your name-Rev, Trask was not a nice man. Then there is your message-on its face arguably that of an impassioned zealot, but really a giant TURN-OFF saying all the things anti-Christians want most to believe that we believe and stand for. Why? not to mention that to take up so much space to ask a question which is really an inflammatory pulpit beating sermon is almost an assault to anyone who wants to make a serious answer.

If you truly believe that the time for "Onward Christian Soldiers" is here, perhaps leading by example would be the best way. If you are possessed of any natural charisma, let that help you to reach people in your physical vicinity. I will pray for them, and for you, and for the Truth.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

If you are a christian then you must know its hopeless to try and feed BCs or non BCs beef steak before they have teeth, they won,t have a real clue as to what you are writing, most only want short? So they can respond with a short answer. I am also guilty of short comments, sometimes to short.

The colonised mindset: The enemy within the African communities.

The writer is going to put forward an argument that unless the

slave/colonial mindset is recognised as the active enemy, within the African

communities world-wide, attempts to understand the social and economic

problems will be useless. This mindset has been affecting the

individual/family /organisations/community and nations alike. From an early

age, adults have been referring to people as having "being colonial or slave

minded" in a most benign way. It as if having this mindset is like having a

flue. You treat the symptoms and eventually, it should go away, if the

immune system is acute and alert. In reality, it is the most virulent

psychological condition prevalent amongst African communities. The damage is

too enormous to consider in this essay. It has and is still destroying from

individuals to revolutions to states eg Patrice Lumumba-Congo, Thomas

Sankara-Bukina Faso, Walter Rodney-Guyana, Cabral, Malcolm X and Bantu S

Biko to name a few. When foreign money, the lust for power and the colonial

mindset met-destruction is sure to follow. Mineral rich DRC remains the most

tragic example today. Also Angola before the timely death of Savimbi, "

Washington's kept man". Failure to confront and systematically deal with

this enemy is equivalent to failure to live and or thrive.

HISTORY

The disastrous effects of slavery and colonialism on the physical aspect of

the Africans in the Americas, the Caribbean and on mainland Africa have been

well documented by a host of European and African-American historians

including Basil D Davidson, Walter Rodney and Professor Jeffries. Few

writers have focused on the debilitating effects of the mindset on the

emotions and the psychology as Carter G Woodson( 1875-1950)was probably a

pioneer when he addressed this condition in his book - The Mis-Education of

the *****. Later, Dr Na'im Akbar painstakingly outlined the psychological

effects in his book- Chains and Images of psychological slavery. Professor

Joy Leary recently attempted to put the psychological trauma concept in the

public domain during a recent lecture tour in London but, few Africans

wanted to even contemplate this concept as an explanation for some of their

behaviour towards each other.

It is of paramount importance to understand the disastrous reality of the

sate accurately described by Woodson and take action to treat it.

"When you control a man's thinking you do not have to worry about his

actions. You do not have to tell him not to stand there or go yonder. He or

she will find his "proper place" and will stay in it. You do not need to

send him to the back door. He will go without being told. In fact, if there

is no back door, he will cut one for his special benefit. His education

makes it necessary". Woodson showed a lot of foresight in his early

detection of the destructive side of the slave/colonial mindset. It is a

pity that, most Pastors and self-appointed "community" leaders do not

recommend this book to the many families who come through their doors. They

do not even bothered with a plan of action to treat this mindset.

Examples

This mindset certainly has a blindfolding effect eg African girls aspiring

to be like their "blonde Barbie dolls". African men dream of marrying "a

Barbie doll" type of woman as soon as they arrive in Europe and or

UK/USA/Canada, so as not to have "too black" children. Michael Jackson's

obsession with his costly body- altering project. It also causes US

Africans/Afrikans to focus on the body, material gadgets, short cuts. The

physical environment of the homes is often out of balance with the people

who inhabit the space. Their homes always have a blonde type Jesus on the

walls but no other famous Africans like Bantu Biko, Thomas Sankara etc. The

African educationalist and parents both on the mainland, Caribbean and the

Americas have avoided including or making the early and middle years

curricula more relevant to our developmental needs. This opportunity to

change our course of history is missed again and again.

At organisational level, colonise minded but the super qualified committee

members are often afraid to put decolonisation strategy and or

Pan-Africanism into the constitution of their organisation. This also

affects the type of name or identity they take on. Eg the NAACP-The National

Association for the Advancement of "Coloured" people. One would have thought

that aparthedist South-Africa racial policies would have caused this

organisation to re-think it's chosen but, they not change from NAACP to

NAAAP. One could only guess when you start your organisation with white

liberals/ or jews in leadership roles, the de-colonisation agenda never

became a priority for this organisation. The OAS/AU is no different. It has

been in existence for over 50 years and still cannot bring itself to be

known as a Pan-Africanist organisation thus, it remains a toothless

nationalistic organisation.

Even when organisations put Pan-Africanism at the forefront eg PAC in

South-African, the de-colonisation process and project, which is necessary

for health and longevity of the organisation is not a priority either. Well

meaning or na鑼倂e activists continue to take a gamble by hoping against hope

that, a few committed and reliable people could suddenly change 400 years of

psychological damage facing the African worldwide. Things could have been

different if, the PAC was able to capture the interest and support of the

majority of the 24 million native South-Africans and their rands, to keep

the movement financially buoyant and turn it into a political powerful force

in South-African society.

The mindset nutures self-hating , self- destruction and confidence lowering

. This is evident in the practice of self- harming through bleaching the

skin, straigthening the hair and looking to Europe and European institutions

as saviours. It also makes killing each other almost acceptable. The eminent

African-American Bobby E Wright (1984) explained in his book "we have never

been trained to kill Europeans" but, we seem to be able kill each other

(black on black) violence instinctively. It also makes us have a warped and

unrealistic view of our reality. It may cause some, like Dr Kenneth B Clarke

to say," race is irrelevant". Even African-America Dr Alvin Poussant, who

used his qualification avoid addressing the current colonisation condition.

He used his stint in Ebony Magazine to deal with the a few middles class

anxieties. What a shame!

The Slave/Colonial mindset-the Trojan Horse

The Europeans understand how important the psychological warfare project is

to their continued hold on Africa, which is why they got their missionaries

to influences chiefs and other leaders in Africa, to send their young

children to their missionary schools. At these missionary/faith-based

schools, young children were indoctrinated on a grand scale. These young

children come from cultures where, almost all adults are feared and or

certainly not questioned, made the work of the European teachers easier.

This is why it should not alarm us or surprise us that, Mobutu, Savimbi and

their cronies behaved in the way they did to their own people and their own

resources. The mindset, the lust for power and foreign money-from the USA

mainly kept them destroying their respective countries, in the name of

capitalism and the other G6 powers.

The USA officials who paid Savimbi through Mobutu millions and millions of

American tax-payers money to literally destroy a revolution and 2 countries,

have never been brought to justice. If both of these colonial minded

individuals did not die, they would be still destroying the country and

squandering their resources for self-aggrandisement, with Washington's

approval. The foreign powers/handlers knew millions of people were being

tortured, kill, maimed, punished and starved of food and other life

necessities, in their interest. Whilst all this was happening in full view

of other Africans, many of them in the Caribbean and continued going to the

states" to make it". Meanwhile Africans affected by these individuals and

American money and foreign policy, eventually started heading for the UK and

the USA seeking "refuge".

It should not surprise us at the way the Europeans view certain individuals.

The American state had to get rid of Malcolm X by any means necessary. The

Belgian/USA/UK governments saw Patrice Lumumba as an uncompromising

character when it came to his understanding of independence. France could

not stomach an independent minded Thomas Sankara who wanted to transform

Bukina Faso in the interest of it's people. The apartheid South-Africa did

not dare allow Bantu Stephen Biko to live-he was too clear about his

position and his understanding of the social/economic/political situation.

He wanted all or nothing. Walter Rodney exposed the hypocrisy of Europe's

role in Africa-it became a real annoyance in European academic circles. The

under-development was the strategy and the means to achieving this outcome

was to nurture their own "loyal Africans". Off course the "loyal Africans"

are another name for the colonial minded.

Rich men and women often have their "kept women" Well, so to rich Europe has

their "kept men". France has Francoise Compoare of Bukina Faso. The USA has

theirs in the form of Paul Kagame. Spain/USA has Obiang Nguema of Equatorial

Guinea- Africa third largest producer of oil. Shell and the UK and other oil

companies operating in Nigeria have been keeping the Hausa dominated army

and government since 1970. The CIA/USA/France had army man Hissen Habre- a

man who was less than friendly to USA's imagined enemy Gadaffi. Chadian

named him, "Africa's Pinochet". USA supported the Duvalier family for 30

years and off course Savimbi in Angola. See William Blum(2001) Rogue State.

Chapter 17.

The Consequences

If African thinkers and educationalists alike continue to neglect the

content of early and middle years curricula, they would be fighting a losing

battle against the slave/colonial mindset, capitalism, fashion and

mass-media. The same way, one cannot expect to put new wine in an old

wineskin so to, one cannot expect the slave/colonial minded to suddenly

change his or her learnt behaviour. This behaviour has been around for the

last 350 years. It might have started as, a means of coping in strange and

often hostile societies in the Caribbean and America in the late 17th

century. Joy Leary would argue African communities must admit the existence

of post traumatic syndrome before, the treatment could be sought. No

admission means that, this major debilitating psychological condition would

linger and fester away.

Off course when a few like, Thiongo'o(1938-) changed his behaviour in his

adulthood, by going back to his Gikuyu name and writing in his own language

rather than English only, is inspirational to rest who remain in this

regressive state of mind. He used his book-Decolonising the mind: the

politics of language in African literature(1986) as a platform to encourage

African challenged about their attitude towards Africa and or NJAC. Ngugi wa

writers to write in their own language to make their books more meaningful

to Africans on the continent. It is not only about writing in one's own

language although, that is a positive start. It is about having a core

teaching curricula that could be used world-wide. Even if people write in

their own indigenous language but continue to see Europe as the solution to

their problems-the colonised mind remains untouched. The writer applauds the

work of Haki Madibuti and Dr Karenga and Molefi Asante. The African need

more people like the above, if we are to be taken seriously.

Why are members of NJAC( National Joint Action committee) and their 36 year

old organisation in Trinidad, still viewed as not worthy of support from the

majority of African-Trinidadians? The slave/colonial mindset, which makes

people ridicule members for re-claiming their African heritage via taking on

African names. One can often hear African-Trinidadians and other Africans

born abroad saying in a most offensive voice, "I am not African" when asked

about their identity. Thai is the colonial mindset expressing their

ignorance.

What do we begin?

The logical place for decolonisation to begin is in the home, with parents

taking the lead. The early years 0-11 is the crucial time to inculcate the

Afrocentric values. It means that, we have to be prepared to build our own

nurseries and create our own culturally inclusive and sensitive curricula.

The parents must be re-educated. It is almost pointless waiting until a

child becomes an adult, when he may or may not be exposed to Pan-Africanism.

All the research available would agree that, the pre-natal and early years

are the most important educating years. Ideally, the decolonisation ideals

should be embedded in the early years curricula, The Community leaders and

families should make attempts to discuss post trauma syndrome and it's

effects openly and proactively put into place some short term and long term

remedies.

3 African American writers who wrote the The Black Parenting Book did not

pursue the de-colonisation project in their book either. There are 17

chapters in this book yet, Pan-Africanism and or the issue of the

slave/colonial mindset were not addressed in a very active way. There

chapters on Family Traditions and Spirituality without making mention of the

importance of Kwanzaa. There was a chapter on " Black and Proud" not African

and proud. There should have a chapter on how and why Africans came to self

hate and hate all things African. Where did it all begin? The book tackled

particular parenting approach, which was used by African American parents

but, they did not attempt to give the psychological or economic reasons why

most African parents worldwide use the authoritarian model rather than the

authoritative model.

Authoritarian- powerful, assertive/aggressive (verbally or physically adult

leads or makes all the decisions, which are imposed on child. May be highly

critical. Parents may be likely to use shouting and hitting. Parents may

even talk about "I want you to fear me".

Authoritative- Parents use reciprocity and a democratic style, which allows

child to lead but establishes safe limits and boundaries. Parents are likely

to use encouragement, provide choices and highlight consequences and

positive feedback and use time-out and put penalities in place, as part of

their disciplining package.

It might have been helpful to explain why some African parents use the

former than the latter? It would have been more useful to write the book in

some African languages and use a work -book with exercises to involve all

members of the family. This book could be described as the product of a well

meaning qualified but, obviously apolitical professionals. The writers

tackled all the symptoms but never ventured near the core causes. They

missed an opportunity to focus on the link between the type of the society,

which produces such parents focusing on a post-colonial/slave/capitalist,

racist society such as the USA.

Conclusion.

The Decolonisation project and treating post trauma syndrome are as

necessary to Africans, as oxygen and water are to humankind existence.

Neither can be avoided any longer due to it being "too sensitive" an issue.

The message to all the Pan-Africanists/Humanist individuals, families and

organisations , which are always short of committed, reliable and discipline

foot soldiers is this, put some of your efforts and money into the 0-11

years olds and an African Parenting project, based on an Afrocentric model

and treatment for psychological trauma and other self-harming behaviour. If

any individual/family or organisation is interested ion the guture well

being of Africans- the aforementioned approaches are vital. Otherwise, a

plethora of colonial minded and dishonest Pastors from diverse Christian

sects, the mass-media, fashion, cars and short term attractions and whatever

other European cultural left-overs would grab the minds of the majority of

Africans.

The slave/colonial mind is dangerous to Pan-Africanist and African humanist

alike. Those African "kept men" or Europe's trojan horses will continue the

pauperization policies of a very rich continent. They will repeat policies

and slogans without even analysing them. They will like the major obstacle

to progress, changes, self-empowerment and unification of African peoples.

Instead of enabling and building capacities and re-skilling people, they

will disable, de-skill and pauperize people. The colonial minded knows

nothing else. The Europeans using their white skins as authority continue to

pamper and encourage their "kept men" to the detriment of the majority of

Africans, who continue to suffer and to be killed with the weapons made in

the USA/UK/Israel and other European countries.

What is the colonized mindset?

I think I lost interest.

What is the colonized mindset?

and what you want agreement ? sorry don't

What is the colonized mindset?

Thats right! Amoebas are more than just blobs.

What is the colonized mindset?

Perhaps it means the mindset that the society/culture of a colonizing group (Europeans) is superior to the society/culture of the group that is being colonized. (Africans)... i.e. the European way of life, centralized cities and towns, is superior to the African way of life, small communal tribes...

Straight to curly?

My hair is naturally straight but i want my hair to become curly. The problem is that my hair is really thick and some people i know said that it would ruin your hair. How can i get straight hair to this, do i have to go to the salon or can i do it myself? Heres a picture of what kind of curly im talking about,

http://www.curly-hair-styles-magazine.co...

Straight to curly?

You wouldnt get it like that with a perm. But you can get it with blow drying it out and then curling it with velcro rolllers. But that hair is pretty i wish i had it!!

Straight to curly?

get a perm.........

Straight to curly?

first of thats not curly its wavy theres a big difference.

it wont ruin your hair

just use jumbo curlers and sleep with them in in the morning when you take then out use a light hiar spray..

Straight to curly?

You can get curls like that by using a curling iron and some hairspray, but if you want it to be permanent go to a salon and get a perm. Remember that perms have to grow out, they don't just go limp after a while. If you do it the right way it shouldn't damage your hair.

Straight to curly?

i would say to get a perm..

Straight to curly?

Very pretty. You can achieve this look by using either large hot rollers or a large barrel curling iron. A perm will most likely not give you this look and might get frizzy and dry.

Straight to curly?

U no what u should do, First, get your hair texturized%26lt;%26lt;its like a perm but its not permanent and a perm is stronger%26gt;%26gt;and do u no how alot of Puerto Ricans/Mexican/DominicanZ..:: have like a type of curly hair,i have a frend whos hair is like that, and she sed that they wet it and put gel in it.SO u can do that.....

Steps

1.Textrize hair

2.Like a week later,Wet hair and apply "Jam"-gel

Why has my husband turned his back on me and tells me I am to blame?

i asked a question yesterday and sought real comfort in the answers, so decided to ask another as i am devasted and my heart and soul is broken. My husband has decided to turn his back on our marriage and our 2 children because he says I am controlling. He said that he feels he cant buy a car magazine without me commenting on it. I dont believe this is true. I know I have questioned some things he buys but that is cause we have alot of debt and some months we couldnt afford it. Icant believe he wants to end it all over this. I have cried solidly for a month and he shows no affection. If i ask him if he wants me to go he gets mad and punches something. Icant talk or show emotion without him getting mad and pulls at his hair or hits his hands off each other really hard. 2 months ago he told me he loved me and could never leave me, this month he tells me to F off, that I am controlling and screams at me when I cry. Yet he wont leave. I am an emotional wreck and need help.

Why has my husband turned his back on me and tells me I am to blame?

You need to take your little ones and leave, even if it is just temporary, you need to show him you will not tolerate his violent behavior. Do you want him to lash out physically at you or your children? Chances are he may be very right about you being too controling, from HIS point of view. Both of you need counceling. But first protect yourself and your children.

Why has my husband turned his back on me and tells me I am to blame?

Is there someone else he is seeing on the side? Sounds to me like he is trying to ease his guilty consious by making you the one at fault. Even if he isnt, you cant live like this. Tell him if he is going to go then he needs to pack and go. If he is going to stay, you both go to counciling and work out whatever issues the two of you have. You cant keep going like this. I am so sorry you are going thru this. Hugs to you. Good Luck.

Why has my husband turned his back on me and tells me I am to blame?

He's telling you are to blame because he cannot accept responsibility for his own actions. I'm not saying it is all his fault either, there are two sides to everything. However, it sounds like you need to get out of that marriage, and get out now. That business with punching things and telling you to F off shows that he is repressing a violent urge, and sooner or later he will stop repressing it and punch you. Don't depend on him to leave, you need to get the kids and get out yourself, and don't go back.

Why has my husband turned his back on me and tells me I am to blame?

do you return the same words he does, i mean do you both tell each other to f-off and then regret it later, does he care that you cry or do you cry in front of him,you both obviously have issues that you need to take care of, for one material things and money are not worth the fight, goals are, have you set the goal to get out of depth, have you set a goal on how you want to live either miserable the rest of your life or happy, if he cant see you cry is because it hurts him to hurt you, he just does not know how to deal with his emotions and also yours at the same time, do you have any close friends or relatives that you both would not act like that in front of, if you do invite them over, let them be your backup and sit down and talk, the reason your gonna need the backup is to figure out if he has an anger problem and hes not going to freak out and hurt you ..

Why has my husband turned his back on me and tells me I am to blame?

There is no solution here.

Debts ruin a family's hope and stability. Debts are incurred because society creates so many ways to encourage people to spend beyond their means. But that doesn't mean the person in debt is without responsibility.

Your husband is so used to spending that he is totally scared of the situation. He doesn't see his way out so he is turning a blind eye on the situation. He is annoyed by anyone mentioning the problem. There is no difference between big debts and drug addiction.
